Great location but needs a refresh

We stayed for 2 nights and the area was perfect, super close to restaurants! The room was clean, but honestly, it felt dated and a bit tired. The bathroom could use a makeover, the shower was a letdown. Breakfast was decent, but nothing fancy. Plus, the noisy extractor fan was kinda annoying.

I had a lovely stay with a huge room that had two big windows overlooking the charming streets, and the breakfast was deliciously satisfying. I really enjoyed relaxing in the cozy lounge and taking advantage of the lovely garden space. While the decor felt a bit outdated, it only added to the hotel's character. just don't expect modern amenities. 😊

The beautiful Tudor sections and cozy log fires gave an old-world charm that instantly felt welcoming, making me feel right at home during my stay.

I had a great stay at The Lion in Shrewsbury. The charming, spacious room added to the historic atmosphere, and the helpful staff made the experience enjoyable. the traffic noise did disrupt my sleep slightly. a lovely place for exploring the area.

I had a wonderful stay here, as it was a short walk to the beautiful Shrewsbury Cathedral just a few steps away and the relaxing Quarry park, which was perfect for leisurely strolls during my visit.

The food scene near The Lion is top-notch! Definitely check out Casa Naranjo for some fab tapas and The Good Life for epic vegetarian dishes. my room was all about those charming period features that added a touch of history to my stay.

Now, some of the decor and bathrooms could use a little TLC, but come on, it gives that vintage vibe! I had a bonkers good time, though it wouldn’t hurt to spruce up a bit.
